HOW TO SPOT A COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIAN 

A Counterfeit Christian

#1. They tell you to do things they don’t even do. Matthew 23:3, 4

#2. They do things to be seen of men. Matthew 23:5

#3. They must be the leader or one in authority. Matthew 23:6

#4. They love praises of others. John 12:43

#5. They will speak perverse things about others to get people to follow them. Acts 20:30

#6. They refuse to serve others because they want to be served and be great among you. Matthew 23:11

#7. They will exalt their selves. Matthew 23:12

#8. They will have followers who are mostly single or widowed women, disables, or elderly, etc. Matthew 23:14, 2 Timothy 3:6

#9. Many times they are a novice that has been lifted up with pride. 1 Timothy 3:6

#10. They covet what belongs to someone else. Deut. 5:21

#11. They are doubled minded and unstable. James 1:8, James 4:8

#12. They please men and not God. Galatians 1:10

#13. They expect to be paid tithes, donations, gifts, offerings, etc. for their work. John 10:13

#14. They claim they have not sinned against another when they have. 1 John 1:8

#15. They and others will claim they are a good person. Mark 10:18

#16. They hate instruction or correction from others. Proverbs 5:12-13

#17. They go by their own thoughts and feelings and not led by the Spirit. Isaiah 55:8-9

#18. They are always right and reJect Godly advice. Proverbs 12:15

#19. They lift theirselves up by tearing others down. Luke 18:11-12

#20. They lust after others in their hearts and minds but try to justify they have done no wrong. Matthew 5:28

#21. They hate those who rebuke them and speak truth. Amos 5:10

#22. They claim with their mouths to know Jesus, but their hearts are far from him. Matthew 15:18

#23. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Psalm 62:4

#24. They will give you a “holy kiss” but there is deceit in their hearts. Proverbs 7:6

#25. They have not put away childish things. 1 Cor. 13:11

#26. They come as a sheep but inwardly they are a wolf. Matthew 7:15

#27. They do not hear from the Lord. John 10:27

#28. They call evil good and good evil. Isaiah 5:20

#29. They have not been impowered from on High. Luke 24:49

#30. They worship another Jesus, have another spirit and another gospel. 2 Cor. 11:4

#31. They are blind guides leading the blind. Luke 6:39

#32. They are proud knowing nothing and doting about questions. 1Timothy 6:4

#33. They are conformed to the world. Romans 12:2

#34. They do not bear good fruit. Matthew 7:19

#35. They worship the Lord in vain. Matthew 15:9

#36. They do things thinking they are doing God service. John 16:2

#37. They add to the Word of God. Revelation 22:18

#38. They take away from the Word of God. Revelation 22:19

#39. They are a talebearer. Proverbs 11:13

#40. They are false teachers telling others what they want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3

#41. Their ears are turned away from the truth. 2 Tim. 4:4

#42. They have no root in themselves and are offended by the truth. Mark 4:17

#43. They are more concerned with the cares of this world. Mark 4:19

#44. They have been sent a strong delusion cause they love not the truth. 2 Thess. 2:11

#45. They have left their first love. Rev. 2:4

#46. They are an Antichrist. 1 John 2:18

#47. They are here to deceive others. Matt. 24:4

#48. They are ministers of the devil. 2 Cor. 11:15

#49. They labour to be rich. Prov. 23:4

#50. They do not fear the Lord. Prov. 1:7

#51. Others speak well of them. Luke 6:26

#52. They love to be in the spotlight. Matt. 6:5, Matt. 23:5

#53. They are a friend of the world. James 4:4

#56. They are hypocrites. Job 15:34

#60. They love their life. Mark 8:35

#64. They are only a hearer of the Word but not a doer. James 1:23-25
